About

This blog uses the lens of black feminist theory to tackle and combat social and political issues concerning one of the most unrecognized and misunderstood groups in America: black women. It hopes to shed light on  personal struggles and challenges, while highlight triumphs and complexities that are rarely seen in mainstream media. Of course, these issues aren’t limited to black women; they also combine issues of race, gender, class, sexuality, age, religion, and everything else mixed up in the Big Picture of identity.
